This is to inform all the licensed cable operators that broadcast of advertisement content through your channel needs to obtain the approval of such content from the office of the Media Council.
This notification is issued as per section 71(4) of the Information, Communications and Media Act of Bhutan 2018, which mandates the Media Council to regulate and curtail any harmful, offensive, illegal or antithetical content on the Internet and other ICT and media services, unless otherwise provided under specific provision in this Act.
